It's funny, Christmas morning has changed a lot. It went from kids racing madly down the stairs to see what Santa brought to kids meandering down stairs coming around the corner and instead of screaming and hopping and general elation we get, "Niiiiiiice." Oh well, they're getting older and I suppose the hype leading to Christmas morning is more exhilarating than the actual morning!
Santa seemed to think Ian needed more basketball in his life!
Ainsley was really hoping for a purple unicorn pillow pet. That Santa is so awesome!
There was lots of good stuff in the stockings... potato pop guns, slime, POP ROCKS, sling shot monkeys, and so much more!
Big brother knew exactly what a little Piggy would like, he hooked her up with a leopard and a meerkat!
Daddy and Ian rocked the house with Lego Rock Band!
Ainsley learned how to make fingerprint art!
And of course... there were Legos!
And MORE Legos!
Ainsley even got some!
And let's not forget, the super-awesome, completely radical PINK Big Wheel!
A rubber duck collection was made quite a bit bigger!
We certainly can't forget the Pipsqueak Boys! Santa made sure they had plenty of treats and new toys, but all Nigel really wanted was a sweet place to lay down!
And Roddy, well, I just had to include the obligatory Roddy pic because he's so stinkin' cute!
After we opened gifts at home, we packed up for XMAS dinner at Linda and Woody's. We went a little early so we could open presents with the folks and Daren's family. It was the first time the kids got to open gifts with their cousins and they were very happy! Linda and Woody experimented with prime rib and it turned out AWESOME! So lots of gifts, family and a wonderful dinner, you really just couldn't have asked for a nicer Christmas Day! I consider myself to be very lucky!
