A couple of weeks ago we took the kiddos down to the San Antonio Zoo for the day. It was WONDERFUL! We did absolutely everything and for once came totally prepared! We stopped in to see all the butterflies, we fed the lorikeets and we packed a nice picnic lunch! The only downfall was the number of people there on a late Sunday morning. We were under the misguided notion that many folks would still be in church! The San Antonio Zoo is a really nice zoo. They are doing alot of work on it. They have some very interesting and unusual animals like the giant anteater, Madagascan Fossa and babirusas (Malaysian wild pigs). It was a great day, the kids had a good time, especially Ian and we were SO pleased that we had the foresight to bring our own wagon! Made life so much easier with coolers, lunch bags and the Piggy!

CHEEEZ!

The butterflies loved Ian. I couldn't catch a single one, but he caught several!

Ainsley holds her first butterfly! She let it crawl on her for a second then it weirded her out and she shook her hand to get it off! Poor, surprised butterfly!

It was a LONG day!
