The day after XMAS we packed up with the folks and Daren's family and headed down to San Antonio to enjoy a family trip to the Riverwalk. We stayed at the Drury Inn which was right on the Riverwalk, nice hotel by the way, had a nice complimentary hot breakfast and a free Happy Hour (which honestly I didn't take near enough advantage of!). We ate at nice restaurants, did alot of walking around, visited the Children's Museum and the Alamo, took a boat ride after dark to see all the lights. And as it happened there was a big pep rally going on for the Penn State vs. Texas A&M game and both teams had their bands on the boats playing. So we not only had visual entertainment from the lights, but also auditory entertainment from the bands. Ainsley was REALLY interested in all this commotion! On our way out of San Antonio, we made our last visit to Sea World for the season. The weather was nice and we had a great day. I was even able to pawn my kids off on Woody and Daren so I could accompany Linda, Brady and Rachel onto the roller coaster! That was FUN! I have to say there is something exhilarating about riding one of those things. Nothing like riding something that scares the crap out of you in order to make you feel more alive! All in all, it was a great trip. It's a little hard when you have a napping toddler thrown into the mix, but what can ya do? But it was a nice way to top off our XMAS holiday!
Always on the go and always up to something!
